Big trees + rail = a compatible match
You can get around the city of New Orleans in the USA via streetcar.

Not only that, whilst on the streetcar you can take in the beauty of the trees that line many parts of the route.
This is just one rail system in the world that proves that mature trees and rail can peacefully co-exist.
So we see no reason why Randwick should miss out. We already have the big trees, so it makes much more sense to keep them rather than 'replace' them (as the NSW State government seems adamant about doing).
Our trees are still young, healthy and thriving. So we'll continue to demand that our beautiful trees are retained instead.
